The Bling Ring
Teen Drama - A teen drama is a type of drama series with a major focus on teenage characters.

Bling Ring - This movie tackles stereotyping of the younger generation without being a comedic film, as it focuses mainly on the genre of criminality.

Themes

Partying & Music - Parties and music are the two conventions most conveyed in the film. It shows the sort of attitude teenagers usually get up to, showing how there use of terminology is portrayed, using offensive language and finally the loud noise of hip-hop style music and constant partying.

Drugs - The use of drugs is seen to be something you could use without getting into any trouble. This can have an effect on the stereotype of teenagers having these illegal drugs and taking it making it look so easy.

Representation of stereotype

Stereotype:widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.

The jocks are seen as being dumb, senseless and at times don't really know what they are doing. They are portrayed as being masculine and wear leather baseball jackets with their back pack on their shoulder.

The cheerleaders are seen as being the prettiest girls in the school, very sexy and the one's every girl want to be. They usually bully the girls who aren't like them. They wear tight clothing with long hair and slim figures and usually have the boys drooling over them.

The nerds are the ones who get no attention in school and are usually the easy targets of betting bullied. They are academically smart, but have no luck with the girls they really like, expect that odd one person.

The blonde cheerleader is stereotype as being dumb and very arrogant, as this is shown through their competitive side whilst competing in extra curriculum activities.

The blonde singer is stereotyped as being arrogant during performances towards members of pupils, also dumb in certain situations. She's dressed mainly in pink with diamonds and glitter, portraying how blond girls are.

The captain of the basketball teams are the one's who tend to get the most females attention. They wear sporty clothing and will always be found in the gym playing basketball. Also, romance is key, as they tend to have a girlfriend during their school year.

Teen Trailers

The three teen movies I selected were 'Anuvahood', '21 Jump Street' and 'Bullet Boy'
'Anuvahood' is a very gritty street film, but the main genre is comedy appealing to audiences of the ages of 16-21.

'21 Jump Street' is also a comedy, but it focuses a lot more on college, parties and relationships relationships.

'Bullet Boy' is a mixture of street crime and relationships again shunning upon the gritty sort of side of London.

STUDIO OR DISTRIBUTION COMPANY presents
This is the distributor. It may be a studio or independent distribution company. It may or may not have financed the making of the movie. But it is the company that sold the movie into theaters, television, DVD, etc. Sometimes it is listed in the same text as the rest of the credits. Or it could be a logo or even a standalone clip, such as the MGM lion roaring
THE PRODUCTION COMPANY
Usually a movie is produced under a business entity that finances motion pictures. It may be an independent company, a studio or a subsidiary. The director or producer’s personal production company may also have acquired the source material, such as a book or play, upon which the movie is based, and could get a production company credit here as well.
IN ASSOCIATION WITH SO-AND-SO PRODUCTION COMPANY
There may be multiple production companies that played a part in getting the movie made. They are listed here, after the distributor and the primary production company, studio or studio subsidiary.
A DIRECTOR’S NAME FILM (or Producer’s)
Audiences today are used to seeing the director’s name before the movie title, as the auteur or visionary of the movie. Some directors have developed such a well-known style that audiences will have specific expectations when seeing his or her name in front of the title. There’s a difference between a Tarantino film and a Michael Bay film.
If the director simply worked for hire without developing it from his early vision, it’s kind of silly to make the auteur claim here. Sometimes the executive producer claims the film’s style and vision. Tim Burton has with movies he produced but did not direct, such as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Batman Forever.
THE MOVIE STARS
Anywhere from one to three lead actors are often listed just before the title. It’s a similar position to theauteur, as the presence of these star actors is the reason many people came to see the movie. True movie stars transcend their producers and directors. One may think of a Tarantino film, or a Spielberg movie or Coen Brothers picture. But more likely, people are there to see a Brad Pitt, Paul Walker and Edward Norton. Their names are listed before the movie’s title, which is equivalent to having their names above the title in the movie poster.

THE TITLE
Now the title of the movie, by itself in big letters.
